I was going through my archives recently and came across a collection of candid black-and-white 'street' portraits that have always been among my favorites, so I thought I'd share a few of them here.
These images were captured over the years during my travels and feature older individuals whose expressions, character, and presence caught my attention in a fleeting moment. What I love most about street portraiture is its ability to preserve small, unscripted interactions and tell stories without words.
Every photograph in this series was shot on film, which adds a texture and timeless quality that feels especially fitting for these portraits. The collection spans several places that have left a lasting impression on me, including Savannah GA, Estonia, New York, New Hampshire, and England. Though separated by geography and culture, each subject shares a quiet authenticity that drew me to press the shutter.
I hope you enjoy these moments as much as I enjoyed discovering them again while revisiting my archives !
